In this Chapter I really understand the differences between the Internet Relay Chat, Instant Messages software, Web-Based chat rooms, and virtual communication. The Primary differences among chat tools relate to the conversation that you have using them and the software and internet connection required to initiate them. Internet Relay Chat requires Special chat client software and a connection to an IRC server, and chats occur in Public places. Instant Messaging software lets you contact your friends or business associates to chat with them in a private setting on a variety of devices, including wireless devices. Web-Based chat rooms let you chat in public using a web browser. Virtual communities are Web sites that enable communication between the online members of the community.
