Chapter # 4 Information Resources on the Web it explain about Web Advanced Search, the Reuters Web page is the one that includes current news stories in addition to the news services that it sells. An intellectual property is a general term that includes all products of the human mind and can be tangible and intangible. Copyright is a right granted by a government to the author or creator of a literary or artistic work. But in some cases like a collection of facts can be also copyrighter, but only if the collection if arranged, coordinated, or selected in a way that causes the resulting works to rise to the level of an original work. In this chapter it also talks about the formats that the World Wide Web uses, like the GIF, TIFF, JPEG, etc. and also the format of sound, music and video formats, Wave (WAV) develop by Microsoft and IBM, MIDI is a standard adopted by the music industry for controlling devices that create and read musical information. And the AU format it is the one that most of web browsers can read and it was run in the UNIX operating systems. In my opinion the most interesting things in this chapter was the legal and illegal issues over the MP3 or sharing music.
